March 17, 2020
With heavy hearts we are going to close our doors to new guests starting today, March 17 to March 31st.
While we pride ourselves on our social and shared community living spaces that provide unique traveling experiences; The health and safety of our staff and guests is our number one priority and we have made this decision to encourage social distancing and limiting traveling in this time of uncertainty. Since yesterday, We know of at least five hostels closing for the next two to three weeks so we are not alone in this.
We will close our doors to new reservations for at least two weeks. We will post the latest news and updates on our website and social media.
If you choose to make a reservation for April or May, we will refund you the full deposit if you need to cancel. We are offering a 10% discount for any future bookings during April or May if you use the code "hostel10" with full refunds on deposits if you are unable to travel during that time or we are closed.
In the meanwhile- we are going to be working on continuing to deep clean the entire hostel, organize, do maintenance projects, marketing and business planning and use this time to make the hostel clean and catch up on projects. We are offering our staff limited hours and researching the best strategies to ensure they are getting what they need financially this month.
During this time we'll need your support. Like the hostel on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Linkedin and help us spread the word about our new hostel in Milwaukee. We are going to be posting videos on Youtube and our social media in the upcoming days and updating blog posts and travel tips. While we are not accepting guests physically in our space, we are looking at ways to bring the hostel into your home.
This is the time for communities to come together and do what we can do to protect each other. We look forward to a time when we can have that cup of coffee with you at our table and until then touch base with us by phone, email or facebook chat. Stay healthy and all our best.
