Update from the Cream City Owners & Staff:

Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is an emerging, rapidly evolving situation and we are staying up to date with the most current information from the CDC. The health and safety of our staff and guests is our number one priority and Cream City Hostel is following the guidance and expertise of national and local health officials to do what we can to protect those we serve.

We have put in the following procedures in place this week on top of our usual daily cleaning:

We have enhanced our cleaning methods with the current recommendations from the CDC and increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting common areas, door handles and kitchen areas every shift.

We are deep cleaning the entire hostel to ensure all surfaces are cleaned beyond our daily cleaning.

We use a commercial dishwasher to clean and sanitize all dishes in the kitchen.

We have placed tissues and hand sanitizer throughout the hostel in the rooms and common areas for guests and staff.

All blankets and sheets are washed between every guest and the beds are sprayed down with sanitizing cleaning solution.

We are, when possible, having people spread out among the dorm rooms to prevent full rooms and increase signage in the rooms about preventing disease. If somebody doesn’t feel well we are putting them in their own room away from other guests.

We’re following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), federal agencies, and other global health organizations to collect the most up-to-the-minute information to ensure the actions we're taking are comprehensive and expedient.

We are a public space and have shared areas and encourage everyone to wash their hands, the surfaces they use in the hostel and staying safe. If you must travel, we're doing our best to ensure the safety of our guests and public. Some tips are attached from our friends in San Francisico how to stay safe while traveling right now.
